Welcome to the Sunnyside PTA

The Sunnyside PTA supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety and quality of education, and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.

Sunnyside PTA Goals:

Collaborate with Sunnyside teachers and staff to make a positive impact on all Sunnyside students
Raise funds in an effective and efficient way to help support a variety of activities at Sunnyside, including grade-level field trips, classroom enrichment, staff grants, Artist in Residence program, Musical, Science Fair, Field Day and more
Host fun events that bring together Sunnyside families, teachers, staff, and the community, like the annual carnival and bingo night
Provide opportunities for families to learn about topics of interest related to children and education.

As a non-profit organization, we are required to have a PTA board. However, we welcome everyone to participate, share thoughts and opinions, and help us succeed in making Sunnyside the best school we can! To get more involved register as a PTA member or email the PTA board.

PTA Membership

We encourage every family in the school to become a PTA member to support the success of their child. We want a diverse membership base that reflects all the families and needs of students at Sunnyside. PTA strengthens connections between your family, your child’s classmates and their families and teachers to build a thriving and inclusive community for everyone.

There is no wrong or right way to be involved – anything you can give, whether it’s time or money, will support your child’s potential. We invite you to join because we can do more together than apart.
